How to object

Green Belt Destruction Mill Hill NW7 - How to Object
Update: 05/08/2024

Amended application submitted to Barnet Council July 2024
16/6662/FUL – Planning Application Documents
(to omit comments use the Filter: Document Type: ‘Revised Document’ or ‘Application Document’)

Determination Date: we will notify here when announced  (we assume it will be a date in October/November sometime)

Objections must be based on material planning matters, here are some of the reaons below, but please try to state your own reasons after looking at the planning documents:

1) Application does not accord with National Planning Policy Framework section 13. ‘Protecting Green Belt Land’. It is inappropriate development on Green Belt.
2) Harm to the Green Belt
3) 80% loss of biodiversity and loss of SLINC (Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation)
4) ‘Very Special Circumstances’ to build on Green Belt NOT proven
5) Loss of ‘openess’ to the Green Belt
6) Increased traffic, parking issues, noise, pollution – with 3x fold increase in pupils + staff.
7) Administrative Inconvenience of operating across more than one site does not give reason to build on Green Belt.
8) Over subscription of the school not a reason to build on Green Belt
9) Alternative site ;search and development alternatives seem insufficient to
show that the proposed harm to the Green Belt can be set aside
